Frequently Asked Questions

Commissions

Although I do not create fully personalised commissions, it is possible to request a replica of any stained‑glass piece already available in the “Gallery” section of the website. To do so, you may contact me by email at: info@burulore.com.

Each request is assessed individually according to its feasibility, and if accepted, the commission will carry an additional cost.

Outdoor installation

I do not recommend installing one of my stained‑glass pieces outdoors, as direct exposure to rain, wind, and temperature changes can affect both the glass and the soldering, causing wear and loss of stability over time.

Care and maintenance

Stained‑glass pieces require very simple care: just clean them with a soft, dry cloth, or one slightly dampened, avoiding abrasive products that could damage the glass or the soldering. These are pieces designed to accompany you for a lifetime.

Returns

Returns are not accepted for change of mind, purchase error, or personal decision, as all stained‑glass pieces are unique handcrafted artworks and are not produced in series. A refund is issued only in the following cases:

  • Loss or breakage during transport, covered by the insurance.

  • Structural manufacturing defect that affects the stability or integrity of the stained‑glass piece and is not related to transport or improper use.

To learn how to proceed with a return, the deadlines, and the full procedure, please refer to the Refund Policy.

60/40 solder

The solder used is the traditional Tiffany‑technique alloy (60% tin and 40% lead), chosen for its strength and durability. Although it contains lead, once solidified it becomes fully integrated and encapsulated within the alloy, without releasing or shedding particles, making the stained‑glass pieces safe for display and handling.

Certificate of authenticity

Each stained‑glass piece is delivered with a physical certificate of authenticity; this document includes a unique identification number, an image of the artwork, the name and signature of the artist, the buyer’s details, date of creation, dimensions, technique, materials, title or description, and, where applicable, the edition or series number. This certificate is important because it guarantees the authenticity and authorship of the piece, provides legal assurance, and reinforces its artistic and documentary value.

Shipping and insurance against loss and breakage

All orders include tracking and full insurance covering 100% of the value of the stained‑glass piece.

At the moment, shipping is only available to mainland Spain (excluding the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla), Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy.

If the piece is lost or arrives damaged during transport, Burulore will handle the claim and the full amount of the stained‑glass piece will be refunded.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all shipping details are correct before completing the purchase; errors or incomplete information may result in reshipping costs to be paid by the customer. For more details, please refer to the Refund Policy.

When should I buy?

Each piece requires time, care, and a great deal of patience, which is why I release them in small batches throughout the month. Each batch usually includes an average of 12 stained‑glass artworks, making every launch limited and exclusive.

If you want to make sure you don’t miss out, follow me on my social media channels — there I share the creation process of each piece and announce their availability

10% VAT

According to Spanish legislation, sales of original artworks created by their own author may be subject to the reduced VAT rate of 10%, instead of the general 21%.

Singularities of the process

The artisanal process of creating stained‑glass pieces is entirely handmade. For this reason, each piece may show slight variations in the glass, irregularities in the soldering, or marks characteristic of hand‑crafted work. All these features can be clearly seen in the photographs of each artwork available on the website.
